One coffee.
Four fermentations.
The James Hoffmann World Tasting Project: A single lot from Guatemala, separated into four micro-lots, each fermented differently. Taste side-by-side what fermentation really changes in the cup.

Two ways to participate
Choose your tasting kit
Both kits contain the same 4 coffees (50g each). The difference: the cupping equipment. Select an offer, then add to cart.
The project
Understanding Fermentation, One Cup at a Time
The Fermentation Project is a global tasting event conceived by James Hoffmann. Following last year's decaffeination project, the idea remains the same: to bring thousands of people together around the same coffee, on the same day, to learn together.
This year, the focus is on fermentation. Lucia Solis, a green coffee and fermentation specialist, took a single lot from Guatemala and divided it into four micro-lots.
Julius is proud to make the project accessible in Quebec by roasting the four coffees and gathering everything you need to taste like a pro, right at home.

Delivery tip
Add a Julius bag, shipping is free
The kit alone does not include delivery, but it becomes free as soon as you add a bag of Julius coffee to your order. The complete cupping kit, on the other hand, is always delivered free of charge.
Buying Julius coffee means making a difference every day
What sets Julius apart from other roasters is the unique relationship we have with Costa Rica’s local producers, the fincas. Since we import directly from them, we make it our duty (and great pleasure) to go there to meet them, in order to create strong relationships based on our shared passion for coffee.
The Julius subscription
Our monthly subscription allows you to discover our specialty coffees and ensures that you never run out. Each month, our roaster introduces you to a coffee from the range and delivers it directly to your door. Don't wait any longer and subscribe now!
