About Julius
The idea behind Julius was born out of a motorcycle trip with friends to celebrate the 40th birthday of one of our founders. For several days, we rode the roads and trails of Costa Rica, discovering its different regions and its most renowned coffee farms. Our passion for coffee led us to San Pablo in the Tarrazu region. It was here that we returned several times over the following months to develop our first coffee collection: Alt. 4785.
Following this initial success, we set ourselves the mission of producing and promoting specialty coffees. Each and every one of our coffees meets the highest quality standards, at every stage of processing.
It's not an easy road, but we know it's worth it. We've never stopped believing, never given up and never stopped dreaming. Coffee is an integral part of our daily ritual, and it deserves our attention. We all deserve to drink good coffee.

What sets Julius apart from other roasters is our unique relationship with local Costa Rican producers, the fincas. Because we import directly from them, we make it a point (and a great pleasure) to go out and meet with them, to build strong relationships based on our shared passion for coffee.
